I am a PIMS postdoctoral fellow jointly supervised by John Bowman from The Mathematics Department and Martin Jagersand from Computer Science Department at University of Alberta. My research interests are centered around 3D modeling from images. Specifically, I am currently working on variational methods for shape and reflectance modeling, 3D tracking and the integration of tracking with geometric modeling. Recently I have started working on application of variational methods for medical image segmentation and registration. Before, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the MOVI team, at INRIA Rhone-Alpes working with Peter Sturm. Between 1998 and 2003 I was a graduate student at the University of Alberta where I finished my PhD.
