Projects
Laboratory Project Demonstration
The functionality of your project and your
poster/demonstration is 50% of the project grade.
Due Friday, December 12, 2008.
At the lab demonstration, you will:
- Demonstrate and explain your project to me for the functionality
portion of the project grade.
- Display a poster or flyer that gives the title of your project,
your names, and an overview of the project.
- Allow visitors to try out your simulation/haptic
device, if applicable.
- Explain your project and answer questions.
Project Report
Due Friday, December 19, 2008 by 4:30 pm.
You can e-Mail it to me if it is no too big
The report is 50% of your project grade.
The final report should
- Be not more than 8 pages in length.
- Be written as if you are going to submit it to a conference.
- Have an abstract.
- Contain sufficient motivation in the introduction to justify the
work.
- Contain a background/previous work section, including references.
- Contain a detailed description of the project.
- Code or drawings can be included as an appendix.
- Describe the results, which may include qualitative responses from
users. You may wish to record qualitative responses and/or performance of
users during the
- Lab demo.
- Contain a future work section describing how your system could be
tested through perceptual experiments, how it can be improved, and how it
might be applied.
- Upon request, I can provide you with a Latex or Word template so
you can format it like a ready-to-publish paper.
