Midterm

Midterm Oct 27.

For Midterm: You are allowed to bring 2 sheets, 8 1/2 by 11
with your own notes on one side (single sided). (notice "your own" -- not 
a copy of someone else). You will turn these sheets with the exam and
get them back once the exam is corrected.

Note: After a poll in class (Wed Oct 22) between either allowing
a simple non-programmable calculator, or structuring the exam so that 
arithmetics will be simple and allowing no calculator the majority
voted for the no calculator alternative.

Therefore: No calculator will be allowed on the midterm.
