Stained Glass - Elevator
For many growing up on the Canadian prairies, wooden grain elevators were
more than just buildings. They represented the pioneering spirit and faith
in a good harvest. Elevators could be seen for miles and were used as
landmarks to give people from "far away" directions. Once numbering around
4000, today under 100 wooden elevators remain. An elevator, grain fields and
two toned sky make up this stained glass panel, measuring 13 inches. This
item was made and donated by Lori Ross.
