dictators are rarely swayed by protest
but companies respond quickly to boycotts that affect their profit by any measurable amount
so I recommend immediately: boycott all american (esp. republican) products/services
send a message to companies/jurisdictions to let them know why you are boycotting
support charities that reflect your interests (eg in US: ACLU)
incapable/not interested in reason
