(PDF version) Topics of Interest ROBIO 2006 solicits submission of full-length papers in all areas of robotics and biomimetics. We particularly encourage the submission of papers in the following areas. Mobile robotics, medical robotics, tele-robotics, robot vision, sensing, sensor networks, multi-robot systems, virtual reality, human-machine interface, intelligent systems Humanoid robots, biologically inspired robotics, biomimicking robots/systems, flying robots, and snake robots; Smart structures, materials, and actuators, cellular/molecular motors, MEMS/nano fabrication, micro/nano robotics, micro/nano manipulation, micro/nano sensing All papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format by July 14, 2006. The maximum number of pages is limited to six in two-column IEEE format. An additional two pages will be allowed subject to extra page charges. All papers accepted by ROBIO 2006 will be indexed by EI and included in IEEE Xplore. Best Paper Awards
ROBIO 2006 offers the following categories of best paper awards:
All submitted papers are considered for the above awards, with eligibility for the Best Student Paper limited to those papers whose first author is a student and main contributor of the paper. Special Journal Issue ROBIO 2006 will invite authors of the top papers in ROBIO 2006 to submit extended versions of their papers to publish in a special issue of the International Journal of Humanoid Robotics.
