About me (Curriculum Vitae):
I grew up in Shandong Province, China. I spent 15 years, the most beautiful time, in Jinan, which is known as the City of Springs. Then I went to Beijing and stayed four years. I moved to Hong Kong, the Pearl of the Orient, in the year 2003 and settled down there. Currently, I am working in Edmonton for one year.

I got my training purely in computer science. I had special flavors in logic, discrete mathematics, data structure and algorithms during undergraduate study. I established my style of problem solving when I was in Beijing. Now I am focusing on solving practical problems through appropriate mathematical modelling and optimization. I am also, maybe more, interested in advancing applications by turning ideas into reality.

Besides academic research, I had the opportunity to join several projects, mainly on Java platforms from embedded devices to client-side applications and to server-side deployments, when I was studying in Chinese academy of sciences. I also owned the experiences in database technologies (DB2, Oracle, SQLServer).
