Some photos of a fall trip to Washington, DC for TREC 2004. I had a little extra time on my hands and so I went into the city for a little bit. I find it rather odd that I somehow managed to visit the capital of the United States before Ottawa, but I guess I'll take what I can get :-) Please have a look at each of the photos for a brief description of what the photo is.

Lesley was along for this trip, bringing with her the trusty old HP PhotoSmart 318, which was used for photos 21 through 27 (as they were taken from a vehicle). I have recently come to posses a "new" (brand new but discontinued) HP PhotoSmart 850 camera that has some modern features that the 318 lacks, in addition to higher resolution (4.1 MP as opposed to 2.1 MP of the 318).
