Term test 2 will be focused on the materials not covered in test 1,
i.e. from the begining of greedy algorithm until the end of basic
graph algorithms (up to begining of minimum spanning trees). But
you may have to know and/or use other stuff learned earlier (like analysis
of algorithm, using heaps, PQ's, etc).

- Thr Sept 22: Important announcement for Enginnering
students:
"The Undergraduate Engineering programs at the University of Alberta
are going to be the subject of a mandatory review process by the
Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board next Fall. As part of this
review, we are required to collect samples of all student work in the
engineering program. The samples will include marked assignments,
marked laboratory reports, marked midterm examinations, and marked final
examinations. We will be removing all personal information which may be
on the samples used, prior to providing the samples to the CEAB review
team, so if your work is
it will not be identifiable as yours. The review is an important
process to engineering students because, to become a Professional
Engineer able to practice in Canada, an engineering degree must be from
an accredited program. Engineering programs are reviewed at least every
six years to ensure that they continue to meet the standards of the
CEAB. If you have any questions or concerns over the CEAB accreditation
review, please consult their website or contact Dr. Bruce Cockburn in
the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering."
