Table 2: North American Go Tournament. G2 was an early version of Many Faces. In 1990, Goliath was not eligible for the title because it is not an American program. The best American programs in 1990 were Go Intellect, Nemesis and Many Faces. In 1994, third place was shared by Contender and RisciGo. In 2001 the North American Go Tournament was transformed into the 21st century cup, which is listed under international computer Go tournaments.
