Ballroom Dancing

I have been ballroom dancing for over 25 years and wish I were much better for the amount of time I have spent dancing. I joined the University of Alberta Dance Club in 1981 and served on their executive for about 5 years. I was also a teaching assistant for 7 years before retiring in 1992. Now I dance primarily for fun and exercise, but in recent years I have developed a keen interest in learning the hustle. It is a cool dance and you can dance it to most of the popular dance music of the '90s in addition to the disco hits from the mid to late '70s. I am also interested in international folk dancing, and several years ago I served as president of the Edmonton International Folk Dancers for two years.
