My research interests focus on intelligent systems, primarily sensor-based perception. This work includes my research in Collective Robotics, computer vision and image processing for industrial process monitoring. I am a Research Team Leader with Syncrude Canada Ltd. and codirector of the Centre for Intelligent Mining Systems (CIMS), a Syncrude sponsored lab in the Department of Computing Science at the University of Alberta.
