Jonathan Schaeffer

One Jump Ahead:
Reviewed by Gary Smith, The Street.com

What's it have to do with trading? Nothing. It's about one man's attempt to build a software program that could beat Dr. Marion Tinsley, at that time the world checkers champion. Better said, it's about one man's struggle to develop a set of rules and techniques that would yield world class results. In short, Schaeffer's story is the story of every technician trying to develop a system that can master the market. Worth it for the great story alone, even if you've never played checkers.
