Keyano (Othello)
Keyano is the name of the mascot of the 1978 Commonwealth Games which
were held in Edmonton. The Othello program Keyano was written by
Mark Brockington as part of
his Ph.D. research. The program currently runs on Unix machines or IBM
PCs. Keyano has been a regular competitor on the
Internet Othello Server over
the past five years.
It came out of retirement to play in the April 1997 IOS Open where
it finished tied for third, behind
Logistello
and Hannibal , the
two strongest Othello-playing entities on the planet. Currently, Keyano is
hibernating until Mark has some time to get a Windows 95 version of Keyano
available for downloading.
