MINT 719 is a special topics course taught in internetworking with a special emphasis on network modelling, and performance evaluation of wireless networks. Architectures and protocols for both low power low data rate, and high data rate wireless local area networks are discussed in the context of designing conventional wireless LANs, sensor networks, and wireless mesh networks. As well architectures and protocols for 3G, and beyond, cellular networks are discussed. The OPNET simulator is used to explore some of the underlying design and analysis ideas.
