CMPUT 620 - Programming Languages and Environments for Computer GamesExercise 5 - AliceThis exercise is about how to use Alice to script characters. Construct some game objects with interesting behaviors. You must have at least 5 mobile game objects. They must move in a manner similar to a Rube Goldberg machine or equivalently like objects in the Mouse trap game. That is, one object should start moving and when it reaches the end of its motion, one or more other objects should start moving and when they finish one or more objects should start moving, etc. You must have at least one object that starts moving due to a proximity check and at some point more than one object should start moving simultaneously. Try to come up with something that uses many facets of the Alice scripting functionality. During the demo, be prepared to show me both the behaviors, the underlying implementation and the different script features that you used. ResourcesAlice web page (You should download a copy of Alice from here and install it on your own persistent disk space) Movie of a Rube Goldberg machine in action. Demo ScheduleAll demos will be in CSC 105. Please come early and ensure that your demo is loaded and ready to show at the scheduled time. We will alternate between two machines in one corner of the lab so that we do not interfere with other students in the lab. If you are the first demo of a day, pick a machine in a corner of the lab. If you are not the first, pick a machine beside the one that is being used to demo when you arrive. Each student should register for a demo slot on the demo schedule by sending an e-mail to me with the subject line: CMPUT 620 Demonstration request for exercise 5 and with an e-mail body that contains 3 preferred demo slots that are still available on the demo schedule below:
