Please note that data uploaded for analysis on the Proteome Analyst Specialized Subcellular Localization Server is NOT protected by the same mechanisms in place for data on the main Proteome Analyst Server. When data is uploaded to the Subcellular Localization server it is assigned a random six digit Analysis ID (AID). Anyone with this AID (or anyone who guesses a valid AID) can access the results of the corresponding analysis. In contrast, analyses performed on the main Proteome Analyst Server are stored in password protected accounts, and users who have not logged on with the correct password cannot access results. Because of this, we encourage those users who are concerned about the security of their data to create an account on the main Proteome Analyst server where their data is protected. and follow the link titled "Register as a New User". |
