CP96 was held in cooperation with the American Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and the Canadian Society for the Computational Studies of Intelligence (CSCSI) and Tufts University. The conference received support from the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Compulog Net, Applied Logic Systems, COSYTEC, and ILOG. The CP96 Conference Paper Prize, awarded in memory of Paris C. Kanellakis to the paper that best exemplifies the interdisciplinary spirit of the conference, received sponsorship from Peter Revesz, Kluwer Academic Publishers, Springer-Verlag, and MIT Press.
